Some people wake in the mornings full of the joys of life whilst others wake feeling totally disgruntled. Have you ever wondered why we feel the way we do?
I once read that those who make notes and plan their lives are just simply wasting time. I totally disagree and believe, wholeheartedly, that lists and plans have saved my life. Whether it’s a diary, pads, notes, or scribbles on the wall, these notes have helped me understand the reasons behind my Jekyll and Hyde morning emotion.
I believe it’s all down to ‘personal expectation’! What makes us uniquely individual as apposed to clones are the expectations we subconsciously set for ourselves and when those expectations are not realised we feel angst, disgruntled and disappointed. It’s certainly disheartening when we fall short of our desires and even more so when those desires are purposefully intended. When expectations aren’t reciprocated with success or happiness we fall into the abyss namely ‘despair’!
Success and happiness is a personal thing, as is wealth. Some gauge it by monetary terms whilst others by the warmth and security they receive from their family.
What does it mean to you? Do you know what ‘personal expectations’ you have for yourself? You may need to lower your expectations a little in order to make them more realistic and achievable and then gradually build on it. Only then will you wake full of the joys of life and ready to tackle the Crazy World we live in.
